Improving Your Skillset: Your Path to Becoming a Better Internet Marketer

with 21 comments

Most people, myself included, tend to have one internet marketing specialty whether it be SEO, Affiliate Marketing, PPC, Landing Page Optimisation or similar. However, it’s never too late to continue to improve your internet marketing skillset and become a better all-round marketer.

I always practice what I preach and have been working hard to improve my talent in other areas, most notably website creation & graphic design. With that in mind, I wanted this post to be a collection of resources to help you improve your skills in a certain area of this niche and share my own growth with it.

Five Sneaky Ways to Build Website Traffic

with 2 comments

I don’t want this to sound like I think I’m above anyone else, but I’m probably part of a small majority of people who test out new ways to drive traffic to sites apart from common methods, unless you are of the blackhat sort. Although I would never put these into practice on a respected site, these are just some of my findings that I think you might find interesting.

Note: I don’t condone or respect anyone who uses these tactics, I think it’s just useful to know the types of things people may be doing. Similar to the fact that I try to mix myself with people who are performing ‘dodgy’ tactics to keep myself well rounded.

Creating a Strategy for Internet Marketing Success

with 13 comments

This is the first post in what you could describe as a ’series’ on building your own internet empire. Although ViperChill is where I spend a lot of my time due to the passion I have for the industry, it’s certainly not the only website I run…far from it.

This series is going to look at various aspects of helping you create a successful empire online, starting today with Strategy. Even if you just offer services for others rather than building your own sites I think you can take a lot of value from this.

with 20 comments

These last few months have been pretty big for me, with the fact that I’m no longer taking on new clients (and ending work with current clients) I’ve been able to focus more time on the blog and helping others through the information I have to offer. One drawback to that though is the financial pain you feel when you aren’t getting a nice monthly income.

Apart from other sites that I run which help top up my bank balance, I’ve been in the business of creating and selling eBook’s, most notably to you guys with my guide to Online Reputation Management. In this post, I’m going to look at the exact steps I took (which you can replicate) to make a very tidy income and increase my authority online.

The Key to Online Success: Hitting Emotions

with 13 comments

With continued learning in lifestyle design / personal development, I’m picking up a lot of information that I’ve found can be relevantly applied to the internet marketing niche, one being emotional spikes.

At the route level, emotions can cover all activity online i.e. playing games for fun or watching videos to be entertained but I want to strike this post on a different level than that. I want to look at how you can start to ’spike emotions’ with people who visit your website.

How to Get Your Website Published In a Book (and My Story)

with 9 comments

As internet marketers, we often look for ways to get the attention of A-list bloggers so that we can attract traffic and links to our websites. Sometimes, it can be a good idea to get the attention of people online, but not in a way that gets you on their website, but in their next book.

I wouldn’t share something I haven’t experienced, one of my first websites is in a book called “DJing for Dummies” which is part of the popular Dummies series that I’m sure you’ve all heard of. This wasn’t by chance; I had to work for it.
